The Smithereens were one of my dad's favourite bands from the 80s. Dad - a baby boomer - grew up on 50s & 60s rock & roll and felt the Smithereens reflected the sound & energy of that classic era. What an experience it must have been for a teenager in 1978 listening to this album for the first time; Good Times Roll, My Best Friend's Girl and Just What I Needed are the first 3 songs! I've loved everything Robbie Robertson has released. Of course his work with the Band is legendary; but his solo albums were also brilliant.
