This is a bit more racy than I usually post, but this cartoon from the 80s is still funny to me. #lgbtmeme #gayhumor #valentines #ValentinesDay #GayValentines #QueerValentines #LGBTQValentines

This might seem grotesque to our modern sensibilities, but there was a time when these objects inspired people to greater virtue. #relics #valentines #ValentinesDay

I'm sick of the constant anti-college memes from Russia and China troll farms. Yes, you can make a lot of money as a plumber or electrician, but it takes years to move from apprentice, to journeyman, to master. #college #degree #skills #union

Many of my friends have lost their minds over the hockey TV series *Heated Rivalry.* For #throwbackthursday a sports toon from the 80s called "Doc and Raider" by Canadian cartoonist Sean Martin (1950–2020). #hockey #gayhumor #lgbtmemes #heatedrivalry

Of course, "No Tax on Overtime" was only 1/3 true and 2/3 lies. The "no tax" only applies to the "and-a-half" (not the full amount of overtime). Similar f*ckifications apply to car loan interest, no tax on tips, senior deduction #irs #notax #overtime #republicunts taxsharkinc.com/how-does-no-...

I had a good time enjoying the owner's response to 1-star reviews of his restaurant. The owner's responses were formal, polite, and direct with an emphasizes on professionalism (not emotional, or "American-style," customer service). French cuisine deserves respect for French culture, N'est-ce pas ?

At my local grocery store they had a nice display of Osito Paws (great Spanglish for Bearcub Paws). Don't recognize the brand #Bimbo ? What about Sara Lee? That's owned by Grupo Bimbo, a major Mexican multinational company. #mexican #american #osito

A "believable lie" is frequently used by Republicunts to cover odious actions. It started with "I can't release my tax returns because I'm being audited." #lie #lies #believablelies www.cbsnews.com/news/republi...

While I agree with this generally, I am all too aware that language changes. Sometimes precise clinical terms enter the language with a more generalized meaning. I certainly know some people who pick up on a word and use it often for a few months. "Trigger" was one of those. #language #writing

There's no #statueoflimitations for unpaid traffic fines. Few counties have the staff to chase after these unpaid tickets. #evil #greedy f*ckwad companies buy up the fines. Then they hound you for money. All legal. Almost no recourse.

Delightful that the LEGO Group has good people who really care. It reminds me when one of my nieces got a credit card application addressed to her. Age 9. Income $5/week allowance. The response from the bank was very kind. They thanked my niece and asked her to apply again when she turned 18.

This is an example of using the truth to tell a lie. You might think you're seeing everything, but that's a lie. The customer service people don't have access to anything more than us. They can't call operations or dispatch to find more details. They are locked out, too. #badcustomerservice #lies

The stone-cold truth is that the middle-class white Christians did not support civil rights despite the many themes of justice in the Bible. Even worse TODAY is that many white Christians are indifferent or actively against minority rights.

"The answer lies in the fact that there are 2 types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the 1st to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws."

I volunteer at a local food bank weekly. One of the barriers we face in asking the larger community to donate money is the false belief that people are poor because of bad decisions. Most clients only use us for 8 to 10 weeks. Then they get back on their feet and don't need us. #foodbank #donate

My friend had some old credit cards with a status of "charge off." Bill collector bought the debt and started hounding him. He made a payment. BIG MISTAKE! The debts were too old to collect, but he didn't know. Making a payment brought them back to life. Super #evil #debtcollector #zombiedebt #debt
