Health coaching which adopts a three-pronged approach: whole food, carbohydrate reduction; a health coach, behaviour-change-based delivery approach; and community- or peer-based initiatives - seems to work! NZ paper just out -prediabetes and type 2 diabetes declines. www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/17...

Along with many others, @psgrnz.bsky.social expressed alarm that the Australian OGTR required so little evidence before proposing to release a genetically modified mosquito strain to help prevent dengue outbreaks. The company application has since been withdrawn. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...

A NZ Judge recently took the NZ EPA at its word: 'no grounds for risk assessment'. So it's OK not to do risk assessment. The judge's decision is being appealed. Thank you ELI.

Breaking: We are appealing the High Court ruling that upheld the NZ EPA’s decision finding no grounds to reassess glyphosate or glyphosate-containing herbicides.

Despite being the most widely used herbicide in Aotearoa NZ, the EPA has never conducted a comprehensive risk assessment of #glyphosate.
