Ironpike became home to survivors—mercenaries, scavengers, and tech scholars. Rift energy was dangerous; mastery over it required discipline, precision, and steel nerves. Sparks flew in the forges, plans were hatched in the halls, expeditions plotted beyond the mapped edge.

My mind is blown… I was reading some old mil sci fi books and got started scribbling… and I can shift my setting into a post-collapse era setting mind blown.
