The 1st review of my latest @OUPLaw book is out. For Dr Marcos Araujo Boyd, it is ‘a magnum opus’, ‘exhaustive’, ‘a perfectly aged blend of analysis, criticism and reflection’, ‘ a true pleasure to read ... that will become a must-have work’. Very pleased!...

I had a lovely time in Malaysia last week. I visited Taylor's University and presented my research at a two-day conference. I really enjoyed attending and getting to know some of their scholars. I also delivered talks at The Alice Smith School and at Methodist College Kuala Lumpur. Pakistan is next!

I'm delighted with the latest review of my book on parental antitrust liability (OUP). I'm very grateful to Dr David Reader for reviewing it. My favourite comment is "It is a body of work that more than warrants the label of ‘career-defining’". I'll present on the book soon in Pakistan and Namibia.

I was recently interviewed for the Latvian legal journal Jurista Vārds on the use of criminal sanctions in antitrust enforcement. The interview is now out (in Latvian). The Latvian Parliament rejected a proposal to criminalise cartels, but the policy debate on this issue continues in Latvia.

I enjoyed my trip to Prague last week, where I presented my research on antitrust debarment at a conference organised by the International Chamber of Commerce. I last visited Prague when I was living in Berlin (over 25 years ago!). It's a gorgeous city.

It looks like Czechia will be the 40th country in which I'll have presented my work. In Prague this month, alongside the Vice Chair of the Czech competition authority, I'll speak at a conference organised by the International Chamber of Commerce. It's been 25 years since my last visit. Can't wait!

I was delighted to read the latest review of my book Parental Liability in EU Competition Law, written by Dr Andriani Kalintiri for Common Market Law Review. 'Even the most critical reader would struggle to find fault with Whelan’s thorough analysis and comprehensive argumentation.' Very happy!

I had a brilliant time in Como and Milan this week. A big thank you to @compasslexecon for the hospitality. Villa d'Este was a magnificent place to stay. I enjoyed chatting with a variety of competition experts from across Europe. Star spotting at breakfast was also fun.

I had a brilliant day today in Manila, presenting my latest @OUPLaw antitrust book at the Philippine Competition Commission (@CompetitionPH). The Chairperson of the PCC provided the opening remarks. The certificate was a lovely touch. I'm looking forward to Intramuros tomorrow.

In Copenhagen for the first time in almost 25 years (since I went inter-railing as a student). It is a very beautiful city and has brought back some brilliant memories. On to Sweden next for a guest lecture at Lund University.

It was a pleasure to contribute today to the @UN Working Group on Cross-Border Cartels. I explained the issue of protecting leniency programmes in the context of cartel criminalisation, an issue analysed in my @OUPAcademic book The Criminalization of European Cartel Enforcement.
