Sel riski sadece yağışla ilgili değil. Bu çalışma, farklı sosyoekonomik yolların (SSP’ler) sağlık, tarım, ulaşım ve su sistemlerinde sel kırılganlığını nasıl artırıp azaltabileceğini gösteriyor. Uyum bir kalkınma tercihi.

Flood risk is not only about rainfall.
This study shows how different socio-economic futures (SSPs) can either reduce or amplify flood vulnerability across health, agriculture, transport & water systems. Adaptation is a development choice.

Gelişmekte olan ülkelerdeki metan salımlarının büyük bölümü küresel tüketimden kaynaklanıyor.
Toplam alanın %10’u, salımların yaklaşık %70’ini oluşturuyor.
Metan sadece üretim değil, tüketim sorunu.

Most methane emissions in emerging economies are driven by global demand. Just 10% of land accounts for ~70% of the methane footprint—and much of it is linked to EU & US consumption.

İklim iletişimi sadece verilerden ibaret değil. Güven; netlik, samimiyet ve ortak değerlerle kuruluyor. İnsanlar çoğu zaman kurumlardan çok “kendine benzeyenlere” güveniyor. Bu gerçek göz ardı edilirse iklim eylemi zayıflıyor.

Climate communication isn’t just about facts. Trust depends on clarity, sincerity, and shared values. People often trust “people like me” more than institutions—ignoring this weakens climate action and fuels misinformation.

Satellites now see what inventories miss. A Science study finds 8.3 Mt/year of methane from 3,100+ energy facilities in 2023, with highly intermittent leaks. Cutting methane is one of the fastest ways to slow warming.

Climate change isn’t always gradual. Abrupt, persistent climate regime shifts are becoming more frequent under human warming, reshaping temperature, oceans, and soil moisture. Adaptation must prepare for sudden transitions.
