Sounding like a vulture leering at a corpse that's just shown unwelcome signs of life, Chris Mason oozes disappointment at the PMs survival #r4today

I see Kemi Badenoch is on Desert Island Discs after #r4today. Any suggestions for what she'll chose? Will she address her Party's record with 'Je ne regrette rien', or the ever diminishing number of Tory MPs with 'Ten in the bed - roll over'?

There is already the start of a brain drain from the US to Europe -we should encourage that by offering well-funded positions for leading academics in life-sciences and AI. Trump might not be bothered but we would benefit and there could be enormous long-term gains @mrjamesob.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk

Ironic that the man who famously said we've all had enough of experts is on #r4today as an expert on treachery

The first prize I ever won was for swimming 10 metres. I was immensely proud of it and my best friend was jealous of it. I could have given him the award but he still wouldn't have been able to swim. At five years old, my fiend and I understood that. At 79, Donald Trump doesn't #r4today

It's obvious that Trumps greed for Greenland is motivated by its size on Mercator projection maps. The only way to calm his hunger is to ensure he only sees Peters projection maps from now on #r4today

The US proposal for peace in the Ukraine is like the Good Samaritan joining with the robbers to share the spoils. This is Christian Nationalism

Children who don't share are rebuked and active attempts are made to socialize them better. When they grow up, we praise them as billionaires. Why? #r4today

The exciting game of Ukraine Monopoly is heating up. Putin has claimed several key properties and Trump has made a surprise bid for the Elec Board. What next, the stations? The water board? Sadly, no sign of 'Go to jail, go directly to jail' #r4today

Astonished to see so many news outlets suggesting Putin has agreed to a cease-fire when he clearly hasn't. Saying "I'll sign up to a cease-fire but only if you give me everything I want" is saying 'No'

There are two people in the world for whom I have such low regard that I know it is not possible for them to go lower. Yet daily, they manage to do something that ensures they limbo dance to a new nadir. At present, they occupy a position in the deeps, far below the belly of the Great A'Tuin

We're so used to the US joining wars at the end that to see them cause one, then leave before it gets going, comes as something of a surprise

Driving for a w/e away, I treated the family to an impromptu lecture on my current obsession: the origin of flint. 15 mins in, I was delighted there had been no objections or calls to desist, only to realise that eveyone, including the dog, was fast asleep. My services are available for a small fee

I've just seen on the news some strange looking child in the Oval Office. Is that why Musk brought his kid in? For a play-date?

My much-loved cousin, who I’ve always had a special relationship with, is having a breakdown. He's started threatening close family and neighbours and is making friends with some really undesirable people. Should I speak out, or keep quiet in the hope I can keep out of it? #wato #lbc

Just watching the "Revenge of the Sith" for the first time. In it, in an elected politician takes over the Repiblic and eliminates all the constraints on his power to become Emperor. Strangely topical

Graham Greene described the 'Quiet American' as being "impregnably armoured by his good intentions and his ignorance". I fear we may now be facing the same man with bad intentions. I pray my fears are misguided because it isn't the America I know

Journalists, just a suggestion, whatever President Trump says, simply ask him "What has that got to do with the price of eggs?", and repeat until he answers #r4today
