🐌 I like a lot of things, such as music, Kamen Rider, Touhou, Final Fantasy [including my FF14 OCs], Dragon Quest, lots of other games like Nintendo, indie, and fighting games, art, and snails.

when a good pokemon hack hits it REALLY hits. the second i found out about this i watched it like a hawk until it came out in full and it was so worth it. the etrian inspiration is amazing on every level from the designs to the mechanics and REALLY reminds me i need to play more of those games.

almost definitely the last of these i'll be playing for now but it's a REALLY good note to end on. kirby translates wonderfully to 3D while introducing a lot of really good new ideas on top of it. mouthful modes are a very good gimmick, and evolved copy abilities make up for the small roster a LOT.

well that's very easily the best one of these by a lot. complete perfection of everything good about the previous two games with a ton of new stuff. the mech adds a ton to the gameplay, a bunch of great level designs in both aesthetic and function, susie is great, it's all just amazing.

more kirby is of course ontologically good, this feels like return to dream land 2 in many ways and i generally like it as much as that game as a result. the specific nuances are there but they're not major, like the setpiecey sections in RTDL are better in this game for instance.

after playing a kirby game to completion for the first time in way too goddamn long i had to go back and see how my previous goat holds up. the answer is it definitely does. i went with the SNES version instead of the ultra i grew up on and while it was a bit of an adjustment it was still

i had forgotten how good kirby games are. i'd have to replay super star to confirm which of these i like more but this compares QUITE favorably. there's just so much to like. the basics of a kirby game are so simple but so effective. i will be doing the deluxe bonus content as well

nothing hits like a good pokemon game. probably top 3 games in the series. i'm so happy to see megas back, to see kalos given a real game, and to see an experiment pan out as well as it did. it's not perfect, pokemon's core turn based approach is still a bit better, but they did REAL good here.

an absolute banger, the first digimon game with money delivers in every aspect. it iterates on basically everything good about cyber sleuth and adds tons of new stuff to boot. some mechanics aren't FULLY fleshed out but this is a really small thing compared to all the good stuff it has going on.

one of the hardest scores i've ever had to give because the story is amazing and on paper the mechanics are mostly excellent but there is just Such an expectation that you need to not only grind but grind correctly in order to keep up with the game's expectations. even on the new easy mode.

one of the hardest scores i've ever had to give because the story is amazing and on paper the mechanics are mostly excellent but there is just Such an expectation that you need to not only grind but grind correctly in order to keep up with the game's expectations. even on the new easy mode.

thinking once again about touhou hisoutensoku. they put a deckbuilder in a fighting game. it would probably be one of my favorite fighters if i ever got the opportunity to play it with someone.

i REALLY wish i could rate this higher. even this high feels like a concession. but the game has amazing presentation, story, and a lot of great ideas. sadly, the execution lets the gameplay down HARD and makes it really hard to recommend despite how good it is.

somehow in the two weeks or so since i have picked up FF11 i have put two days worth into the game which i guess is a sign it's good
