Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

I use the way people treat service workers as a litmus test. I make no exceptions for anyone who fails this test. Same goes for the way people treat animals, actually.
If you have impunity to be cruel to other people or animals, and you use it, I view that as an extreme moral failing.

Exactly why I've long stopped caring about most spoilers (regardless of if I own a game or not), I'd rather hear my friends talk about the cool stuff they're excited about than miss out entirely on all that fun talk
the most demoralizing thing about not being able to afford to buy new games is wanting to stay unspoiled and experience them fresh later, so you try to stay out of conversations your friends are having about it. but you know that once you CAN play, everyone else will have long since had their fill 😔

Arguments about how old a character looks/if aging them up is still underage art/if fictional character can consent will be a mess of false reports and time wasted on appeals
