Description - A bee-pony who has a fluffy black coat with a yellow zig-zagged stripe around his abdomen, followed by a small cream coloured patch on his lower tummy/crotch. His hair is wild and puffy, a golden yellow fading into off-white tips. His hooves are also yellow, and on his two hind legs he has a fuzzy pollen pad on both. He also has other insect features, such as his zig-zagged antenna, and the chitin-like plates that line his ears and back, which then leads to the stinger he has above the start of his tail. Out of his back plates sprout his insect wings. His eyes are an orange-purple ombre, and his scleras are black. His cutie mark is a golden three pronged crown with a purple/orange hexagonal gem in the middle, which has little blue bug wings on its left and right. Sitting atop the gem is a smaller silver three pronged crown. The golden crown’s bottom is dripping with golden honey. Lore - Vespen wasn’t born into royalty, and started his life as a regular worker bee. He always liked his job making honey, even as a filly, but he always had to make it to the Queen’s standards— unable to experiment how he craved to. It fascinated him how honey tasted so different depending on the type of flowers and how it was processed, so he would do little experiments in secret on his own. But there was one thing he desperately wanted to create— royal jelly. He had heard stories of how wonderful its flavour is all his life, but forbidden to try any himself. He knew if he could just taste it, he could at least make an attempt to recreate it— so that led him to sneak into the Queen’s castle. It was easier to get in than it was to get out, and poor Vespen was caught red hooved. Surrounded by the Queen’s guard, he trembled and looked down into the Royal Jelly jar. He hadn’t come this far just to surrender. In the heat of the moment, he decided to slurp it all down in one go. The guards swarmed around him and took him to the Queen… who promptly banished him from the kingdom.
