Just talked with a person in her late 50s about #ClimateChange. Apparently, in her school days, she was ‘taught’ sea level rise would drown Kölner Dom in the 2000s—installed fear. Now Köln Dom is intact, she no longer believes in CC.

Attended a conference recently.
The response that academics give when I say I’m not affiliated with any university was…well…not great.
Is it so surprising to see someone outside of the university system in a conference? 🦉 Perhaps, depends on the community?
