When Planned Parenthood health centers are forced to close, patients don’t magically get care elsewhere. They lose access – full stop. Patients deserve better than deception – they deserve Planned Parenthood.

Let us be clear – when Planned Parenthood health centers close, patients lose access to real, comprehensive health care – including contraception and cancer screenings.

Most CPCs aren’t legitimate medical clinics, and use lies, shame and fear to manipulate patients at their most vulnerable moments.

The @nytimes.com confirmed what we’ve been saying all along: crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) cannot replace Planned Parenthood health centers as a trusted health care provider.

NEW: The Trump administration announced a harmful new proposal that would block access to essential gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth across the country.

If this discriminatory regulation moves forward, we will see this administration in court.

Gender-affirming care for young people is based on decades of clinical research and backed by the leading U.S. medical associations.

This is cruelty, plain and simple. We’re holding our trans and nonbinary communities extra close today. 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
New proposed regulations from the Department of Health and Human Services would bar federal programs like Medicaid from covering gender-affirming care for transgender youth.
Trump administration moves to adopt sweeping new rules targeting care for transgender youth
If approved, the proposed regulations would dramatically impact an already challenging landscape.

This is a direct attack on expert providers who deliver medically necessary care for transgender and nonbinary patients.

The goal is clear: threaten doctors and health care providers with jail time to stop them from giving patients the life-saving and evidence-based health care they need. (1/2)
BREAKING: The House of Representatives passed a bill that would criminalize gender-affirming care for transgender youth under 18 and put doctors in prison for providing this care.

This bill is an unjustifiable threat to the well-being of trans youth and their families. The Senate must reject it.

Abortion bans and other barriers can make accessing abortion care complex. Many patients need to raise money, schedule childcare, and take time off work. Some are criminalized for seeking care.

We deserve stories on screen that reflect real life.
Abortion Onscreen in 2025
This year, we tracked 65 abortion plotlines across cable, broadcast, and streaming channels. While we documented some familiar trends, we also observed a return to concerning tropes.

Tonight, Gary Clemons—a progressive Democrat, veteran, and union president—was elected to serve KY’s 37th State Senate District.

He won with a whopping +45 point margin in a purple district that Kamala Harris only won by a +5 point margin.

Don’t EVER tell me Kentucky isn’t worth fighting for.

A quite startling overperformance for Democrats in tonight's special election for a state Senate seat in Kentucky:

Democrat Gary Clemons won 72% to 25%.

He was defending a Dem-held seat where Kamala Harris beat Trump by 5% last year.
