These are only funny to me but 1) Briar would definitely say that and 2) Will would start crying because he's so curse-brained that he immediately thinks about Briar dying and throws up a little like a kitten

They do lean into it but it has less impact when everything about what he suffered is left ambiguous. Oh he had a nappy get over it shitlib and many such cases
Dying broke him (omg parallels????!!!!) but they rarely lean into that at all whereas Briar chose to embrace Euchronia and its flaws in the face of horrible trauma, Louis sought to destroy it because all he could see was hurt and violence. The lens in which they see the world were crafted similarly
