When I realized way back in 2008 while Obama was bailing out greedy hucksters, bank cartels and other shady dealers of capitalist intent, everything came into focus. Bad faith actors do not deserve nor respect your innate trust. They are not seeking to create a safe society through different aims.
These people are not the other side of the aisle. They are not the counterpoint in the debate. They are fringe extremists, loveless losers, fattened hogs, incurious slobs and slaves to bloodlust, and your leaders who accommodate them are selling you down the river for a cheap, AI-generated song.

Many of us on the left, although I would argue not enough, vocally objected to Obama's actions in Pakistan, Libya and Syria. We also vocally object to Trump's actions in Venezuela. The ppl using the gotcha comparison are wilfully ignorant that we dissenters exist because we have a moral compass.

I think in order to express my joy, I must first deal with my grief. That's usually how it works anyways. Parsing out deep, fundamental shame and sadness about a thing, a place, a person, or an event can take years and I want to feel my joy now.
