Into safety, bias & human error. Swimming, cycling & running, sometimes mixed. Have been known to pass gas in front of strangers.

My strongest memory of COVID:

I was sat in a respirator. They are horrible to wear. It made my nose stream and I'd gone deaf in one ear from pressure on my temperomandibular joint from the mask straps.

I was tired. So, utterly, dog tired.

I'd just reviewed a man, in his 50s
Managed to get nineinchnails tickets for the whole clan.

Tumescent with excitement 😆

A day of great solemnity and portent.

After 17 years of sweating and wresting in damp cubicles;

I NEVER HAVE TO OVERSEE A SWIMMING LESSON

EVER

AGAIN

Sad times for the menagerie.

Ms Lemon tapped out peacefully in her sleep yesterday.

Hope you're eating unlimited peanuts in the sky, old lady.

But just in case.

It's time for the BMA to organise a mass defunding of the GMC.

It no longer has credibility as our regulator.

One of the gremlins has gone to Manchester to visit mates.

Ended up going on the coach because the train prices are so prohibitive, only a smidge less than flying there!

Given how relatively environmentally efficient they are for moving people around, they should cost buttons..

As that time of year approaches again, time for the eternal question;

What is the worst Christmas Song, and why is it Happy Xmas, War is Over?

Theresa May's coordinated assault in the police service has come home to roost.

By 2019 22,000 fewer officers disproportionately from the frontline services

18% real-term reduction in spending on policing

18% below inflation pay awards

Attack on pensions

Anyone got their Christmas tree up yet?

I have.

Up in the fucking loft where it belongs for another three weeks.

Sigh.

Had a good run of 19 years without it happening, but my 16y.o. just had an attempted mugging for his phone by a bunch of fuckwit roadman wannabes.

Stopped off on the ride home to get a bottle of red and white to put an 11 day stretch to bed.

No prizes for guessing which one cracked open in my courier bag 🤦‍♂️

I wrote this thread on Twitter in April 22.

I'm close to leaving Twitter now, but want this to come with me.

Time muddles memory, and I want this one to be archived.

I will never forgive their betrayal.

Note to self.

Pack the pool away at the tail end of Summer.

Not late November.

Sketchy ride in this morning.

Frustrating that some drivers won't tolerate people riding further from the kerb when there's ice in the gutters.

I have woken into my 6th decade with raging lower back pain and a pulled calf.

It would seem the only identifiable mechanism for this horror was...

walking a reasonably long distance in flat shoes.

This is how the slide towards death goes, isn't it? ☠️👴

No, but the fact that many countries do allow it surely suggests it isn't an esoteric idea?
