As I suspected, the US sanctioned the Serbian oil industry owned by Russia in a broad sanctions package against Russia and not targeting Serbia specifically. Russia is on track to lose its main hold on Serbia.

Vucic stated tonight that the US is getting ready to impose sanctions on the main oil company in Serbia, majority owned by Russian state corporations. Two days ago Bloomberg reported that the Biden administration is seriously considering imposing sanctions on the Russian oil sector.

I can understand the dismay of those Syrians reading tankie comments online about how Assad was a great anti-imperialist fighter, because they wrote the same thing about Milosevic, who absolutely wrecked Serbia.

When the right remembers the MENA Christians it's always a bad sign for the entire region, including the Christians. I think we missed the moment to help the MENA Christians, it was somewhere around the 7th century AD. Things went downhill from there.

A monodrama starring Jake Sullivan, in which he lives cowering in the shadow of the big, great Chekhov's gun, but in the end, the gun turns out to be his whitebread grandad's tobacco pipe.

Russia collapsed in on itself two times during the 20th century, withdrawing in shame from many countries it had occupied, but we need Assadist Syria collapsing to remind us that Russia is not invincible.

With Tulsi Gabbard, a person awfully close to a Russian agent of influence, appointed for director of national intelligence in the US and the European center in a state of flux, the West is doing remarkably well doing coups around Europe and the Middle East.

The Georgian regime is using Russian terror tactics against demonstrators. That's why they're protesting in the first place, they don't want to live in a Russian governorate where this kind of behavior is the norm.
About an hour ago, as some protesters were peacefully heading home from Rustaveli avenue, riot police stationed at First Republic Square suddenly began chasing them without warning, grabbing several individuals. There was no reason for this aggression. Video: @publikage.bsky.social

Is Turkey kicking out Russia and Iran from Syria, with the US just standing and watching from the sidelines, its jaw on the floor, the multipolarity we've been waiting for?

Bloomberg: Russia doesn’t have a plan to save Assad and doesn’t see one emerging as long as the Syrian president’s army continues to abandon its positions, according to a person close to the Kremlin.

It was an alluring idea that Russia could be appeased, without changing the security structure of the European continent. Unfortunately, Russia wasn't after economic and societal development, it was after the status of a great power, dominating Europe, like it attempted after WWII.

Eastern European states which were occupied by Russia since 1945 did not need the US to push them into NATO after the Cold War ended. They gladly applied to join NATO to be protected from precisely this kind of Russian expansion we are witnessing now.
