Happy Valentine's Day! This campaign is about fighting for the people we love — and we're fighting for them, and for all working people to have decent wages, quality healthcare, and secure retirement!

Travelled to D.C. earlier this week and was fortunate to meet the Iron Workers' new international officers. My union changed my life — I'm forever grateful for the opportunities and stability that belonging to the Iron Workers union has given me, and I will fight to bring opportunity to all workers.

Ironworkers, Smokejumpers, Farmers, Firefighters, Sheriffs, Teachers — folks who know what it's like to sit at the kitchen table and figure out their bills. From one side of the country to the other, we're coming to Congress to fight for working people.

Join us.

I'm honored to receive the Cleveland Port Council's endorsement, representing over 23 maritime trade unions and thousands of Northeast Ohio workers. I'm proud to stand with these hardworking men and women to raise standards and lower costs for Ohio families and beyond.

All politics is local, but a lot of the local political issues are caused by the out of touch special interests that control the building behind me, which raise the cost of living while reducing the standard of living for working families.

I’m running to fix that, and represent #workersfirst.

It was great spending some time with the Executive Committee of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party this morning! As a party, it's important that we continue to put #WorkersFirst!

State Senator and Minority Leader Nickie J. Antonio is consistently on the front lines fighting for working families. On issues like workers' rights, education, affordable healthcare, and fighting the opioid crisis, Senator Antonio exemplifies leadership, and I'm proud to have her endorsement!

"We should stop turning on eachother in this country. There's strength in unity — we are the United States — and we really, through our differences, should find common ground on a lot of issues."

"Democrats have fielded working-class & union candidates in at least 12 House races. Bob Brooks, the head of Pennsylvania’s firefighters union, [...]. Johnny Garcia, a deputy sheriff in San Antonio, [...]. There’s a farmer in North Carolina, Jamie Ager, and an ironworker in Ohio, Brian Poindexter."
After His Democratic Victory in Texas, a New Working-Class Star Rises

Tonight, we joined together with our region and communities across the country to honor the life of Alex Pretti, who both spent and gave his life helping others. This should have never happened in America, and we need to do everything we can to prevent it from happening again.

As the son of a union machinist, being endorsed by IAM means everything. The union that supported my dad as he supported his family helped raise me, and it will always have an advocate in me. Thank you, IAM, for supporting our campaign to bring working-class values to Washington!

From the bottom up, workers are the foundation of this country. It all starts with the workers.

"As a union ironworker, I understand the state of despair most working people are feeling right now. Most of us are working harder than ever and are falling further behind. Prices are up across the board, from rent & mortgages, groceries, gas, utilities, and health care, while wages have stagnated."

Another unspeakable tragedy in Minnesota. ICE must change its tactics and be held accountable. Killing people in the streets does not make our communities or our country safer.

There must be a full, objective investigation with the involvement of local and state Minnesota law enforcement.

When times get tough, working people need to stand up! One week ago, we launched this campaign to bring working-class values to Washington. The number of people who have reached out with support tells me one thing: The message we’re sending in American politics is long overdue.

I am honored and humbled to have earned the endorsement of the International Iron Workers Union. As a member, I understand the work ironworkers put in to build the skylines and bridges of this great country and the strength that comes from workers standing together! Thank you, fellow Iron Workers!

Ohio families are spending, on average, $1,532 more on everyday expenses; healthcare costs are skyrocketing; and working Americans are paying for 96 percent of tariffs. Max Miller can afford the votes he takes, but working families can’t. It’s time we sent a worker to Washington.

I believe healthcare policy should start with one simple question: Does this help people get the care they need without fear, delay, or financial devastation? It’s time all working families get better healthcare, and we quit lining the pockets of healthcare executives who deny people coverage.
State of denial: How insurance companies impact health care today
As millions of Americans struggle with paying for health care, doctors and health experts discuss how medical care is being eroded by insurers denying necessary tests and treatment, making it "more difficult to be healthy in the United States."

Today, we reflect on a man who believed, as we all should, that the dignity of work is core to the American Dream. As Dr. King said, "I look forward confidently to the day when all who work for a living will be one with no thought to their separateness..." Let's resolve today to continue that work.

For our launch event, we couldn't find a podium, so my campaign manager and I built one in his garage. That's the kind of campaign we're building, one that isn't afraid to get dirt under our nails.

We're taking that message to voters, chip in today.

It was great to come out and speak this morning with the Medina County Democrats at another packed house for their Politics and Brunch event! Thank you to everyone there for all of the work you’re doing in Medina County to fight for working people!

Last night, we launched our campaign to a packed room of over 100 folks ready to see working-class values brought to Washington, D.C., and I pledged to you that I’ll always have the backs of working people.

As I said before, I’m ready to fight back. Are you?

I’m running because working people deserve a real seat at the table. We deserve leaders who understand the dignity of work, the pressure of rising costs, and the reality of trying to build a life working for a paycheck.
