For Max Schachmann, this was his first top-5 finish in a stage race since the 2021 Tour de Suisse, nearly 4 years ago. A step in the right direction after years of setbacks.

Tomorrow, the second stage of the #AlUlaTour finishes on Bir Jaydah Mountain Wirkah (2.6km at 9.8%), which will be tackled three times.
Before reaching the summit, there's a section of 1.15km at 16.2%. According to my information there are some peaks up to 22-23%.
