One idea I have to play more RPG is to combine play by post with the traditional live sessions. Play by post on discord should be sufficient for exploration, low stakes convos with NPCs, plotting, trading, riddles. With culmination reserved for live play.

How about recording in a large room where you are far away from the walls and windows? Or.. what I have been experimenting with lately: in the garden with iPhone studio mode

it is quite easy to disarm your opponent in AlienRPG. You can do it as a stunt in a close combat attack or during blocking. In both cases it requires just one additional success die.

Nice idea. Probably too niche to organize offline, but as a one every two weeks or once a month online meetup - an attractive idea!

Despite running several published adventures in WFRPG4e and AlienRPG I never quite felt successful or fulfilled while doing so. My players also responded better to my own self made adventures.

Making a tutorial or a cheatsheet for an RPG system is a good way to learn yourself. I had to double check so many details of AlienRPG combat while working on mine.

Grappling, pushing your opponent to the ground or disarming them can only he done with a stunt in AlienRPG. You need to get extra success rolls #alienrpg #freeleaguepublishing #rpg

The fact that the initiative in AlienRPG is entirely rabdom (save for Xenonomorphs who have it fixed by an attribute value) is an interesting design choice. Whoever goes first gets an advantage so most systems base initiative on some skill/stat check.
