There’s a silliness and sweetness to the whole thing, combined with an emphasis on the existing cast rather than new characters, that makes it stand out from other Pokémon campaigns. It feels like a postgame epilogue about the player’s weird new family and home. bsky.app/profile/pldh...
I appreciate the DLC’s decision to have side quests following up on NPCs encountered in the base game. It makes it feel like a proper extension to the base story—and that Lumiose is progressing—by fleshing out & cementing our connection to this specific city and its inhabitants.
