An extraordinary piece of music written by Bobby Bond & performed by Waylon Jennings. Less known than a song of the same name by Tommy Cash, but a much superior song. A rare song that brings me to tears and reminds me that Waylon is by far my favorite #countrymusic artist.

My heart was jubilant while reading this story this morning - more than 100 Chinook salmon have passed the former Klamath River dam sites as well as the fish ladder at Klamath Lake and are naturally spawning in Oregon headwaters for the first time in over a century! 🐟🧪🌎

My heart was jubilant while reading this story this morning - more than 100 Chinook salmon have passed the former Klamath River dam sites as well as the fish ladder at Klamath Lake and are naturally spawning in Oregon headwaters for the first time in over a century! 🐟🧪🌎

Many of us grew up in the church being taught to root for Moses, Daniel, and John the Baptist in the Bible, only to grow up and have our churches question our faith for not cheering on the Pharaohs, Nebuchadnezzars, and Herods in our world today.

Maybe a tipping point? It is more than a resistance movement now. In Chicago, we see the church bearing witness to justice and the loving non-violence of Jesus in the face of institutional evil. As it was for Dr. King and Oscar Romero, this is faith in action.
