This headline is incorrect. You don’t snub a meeting. A snub is a deliberate act against an individual or a group. It could be argued that he’s snubbing the rest of the G7 but to single out Albo is lazy parochial nonsense.

Hypothetical but would Bob Hawke have publicly condemned the appalling behaviour of Netanyahu and his cabal? I say ‘yes’ because I know he was privately very critical of the Israeli right. The silence of the Labor Government is disgraceful and beyond perplexing

Contemplating this line from the Guardian piece on the ALP’s campaign director Paul Erickson. It might take some time.

Journo mate Doug Holden voting in Bega
“young lady wearing lib shirt, HTVs in hand answered these questions: yes, she was out of town EB, not a member of Libs, Libs had asked them, expenses covered, she didn’t know any policies, and hadn’t a clue about what separation of church and state meant.

Have I got this wrong? I just saw an “Advance” ad on 9Now during the Women’s State of Origin. Isn’t there a ban? #AEC

This is a very disturbing turn of events. We don’t need these zealots injecting themselves into Australian elections.

Do some in the political media have permanent amnesia? Twice in Government the LNP and Peter Dutton announced a register for sex offenders, allocating budget money. It never happened. Maybe ask him why not? And what happened to Super for Survivors, also promised? www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...
A public register of child sex offenders will do more harm than good
It might be a popular policy, but it is likely to lead to vigilantism, have no impact on rates of offending and offers no support to victims of sex crimes.

I hope @alifrance.bsky.social is reminding the people of Dickson that if they vote for Dutton and even if he holds the seat, he’ll be dumped as opposition leader and likely quit parliament. Save yourselves a by-election.

Dutton’s use of his son to highlight housing affordability is his Hawaii trip and “don’t hold a hose” moment combined. It will haunt him into his political obscurity.
