Saanich’s latest housing report shows that fully half of development permits issued this year were for non-market, affordable units.

About 400 new units of non-market housing are closer to becoming a reality in #Saanich, with help from the Saanich Affordable Housing Reserve Fund (SAHRF):

Saanich is growing. That means more people getting around on foot, bike, bus and in the car.

QMP is our plan for infrastructure improvements that get more people around conveniently and safely in our community.

Survey closes on Oct 1. Don’t miss your chance to have your say!

That doesn’t mean taking away homes or qualify of life from those who built a life here and raised a family.

It means protecting and enhancing the things that we love in our neighbourhoods, while giving more individuals and families the chance to put down roots here.

Everyone should feel safe whether they’re walking, cycling, or driving in our community. This incident is a stark reminder of the work still ahead to ensure our roads are truly safe for all users.

The Quadra McKenzie planning process is our opportunity to come together to build a plan that reflects the hopes and needs of our entire community. Let’s make sure the process reflects the values we all hold as Saanich residents: respect, inclusion, and care for one another.

Just to be explicitly clear, the public can still write and call council members but at the meeting on the 24th, no more public input will be permitted live in council chambers
