Vegas 2023: drain cover incident destroyed more than half of Sainz’ Ferrari and gave him a 10-place grid penalty.
Have the rules changed to account for this kind of gross injustice? It was not the team’s or the driver’s fault that the car had to be rebuilt. The race organizers were irresponsible.

I went to look for a book I bought for my wife many years ago and discovered this gem of a show with the same title (on Hulu, in the US). It gets me a little homesick, but it’s so good to spend time in Rio vicariously.

Yeah, t’is the season, etc., but for me the season for panettone is the whole year. I know. Controversial opinion. (And, no, it’s not nearly close to being the same as a fruitcake.)

What a season finale to a thrilling F1 season! Lando and Oscar turned McLaren into a ferocious BEAST and together they brought home all the bacon needed for the WCC! I can’t wait to see what they will bring in 2025 🍾

Lost sleep at 5:45am; got out of bed and decided to start the day earlier. Had two espressos, fed my lovely cat, and left for the gym. Got treated to this beautiful and subdued sunrise. Came back fully energized to slay.

Thanks to foolish international conflicts, we in the USA are denied the opportunity to watch this amazing movie by Michael Lockshin. I saw it in an educational screening and would love to see it again ASAP, but Russia won’t allow it.

And George was a total boss today! I was happy to see Mercedes get their game together and enable both their drivers to reach the 1-2. What caused this turn around for the team?

Max looked lonely at the top until Lambiase joined him in the limo. And after his company arrived, he seemed to enjoy playing with the buttons around him. I’ve had moments in which I was angry at him this season, but seeing him race in Interlagos put me in my place. What a beast, what a driver!

This kind of data makes me wonder how I can possibly like F1 racing. We have immense fun watching 20 guys put their lives at risk weekend after weekend. It took me a long time to get over Senna’s death and every time I see a wrecked car, I hold my breath until I know the driver is ok.
