Current WIP: BREAKAWAY BLADES, arriving in 2026

Avid reader turned writer, from Blythe, CA. Threads refugee trying to rebuild and reconnect here on BlueSky. Women in sports rules! I plan on writing sports romance but with strong female athletes.
Pinned
Excited to announce my book, BREAKAWAY BLADES is going to be published in 2026!

Strong woman athlete!
“She shattered her leg and her career. He’s the PT who won’t clear her until she trusts the titanium rod keeping her together. Turns out rebuilding on ice is easier than falling in love at dawn.”
Currently writing the world's slowest slow burn between two golfers. We're on month six of them sharing a golf cart and still no kiss. I'm torturing myself.

Falling in love during the off-season hits different because suddenly they have time to actually go on dates instead of just stealing moments between practices.

Sports romance rule: if they're not arguing about training schedules while making out, are they even in love?

My search history: "worst sports injuries" "how to describe muscles" "do athletes really eat that much" - romance author or serial killer, you decide.

There's something deeply romantic about someone who knows your tells. Knows when you're favoring your left side. Knows when you need to rest even when you won't admit it.

That scene where they finally kiss in the rain after the championship win. Cliché? Yes. Do I write it in every book? Also yes.
November 10, 2025 at 3:36 PM
The absolute intimacy of washing someone's hair after a brutal game when they're too exhausted to lift their arms. Writing this scene tonight.

That rom-com moment when they both reach for the last protein shake and argue about it for ten minutes before someone admits they're flirting.
November 9, 2025 at 11:51 PM
The way athletes communicate entire paragraphs with just eye contact across the field. That's the good stuff.
November 9, 2025 at 7:51 PM
That moment when your QB realizes he's been in love with his left tackle for three years. Took him long enough. The offensive line knew.
November 9, 2025 at 6:52 PM
The real enemies to lovers is a pitcher dating someone who insists on talking during the game. That's the true conflict.
November 9, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Writing tip: nothing builds sexual tension like two athletes sharing an ice bath after practice. Trust me on this.

White women: our freedom is tied to everyone's freedom. Reproductive justice means fighting for those most impacted by these laws—especially BIPOC communities.

Pleased to announce that book 2 (a novella and book 1 are already out, see link in bio) is "STEALTH SECRETS", a continuation of the Hearts & Tailwinds series!

It'll be coming out in 2026.

Sayyida al-Hurra ruled as pirate queen of the Mediterranean in the 1500s. She answered to no man and no nation. Her ships controlled the strait. #CelesteAnchor #QueenOfTheSea

Finally chose a name for my book! "OPTIMAL STATE" is coming in 2026!

"She audits the Protocol—the algorithm scoring citizens' access to everything. When she discovers it's manufacturing behavior, not measuring it, she faces a choice: stay trapped in the system, or opt out and lose everything."

The way athletes hype each other up before competition. That's the kind of supportive relationship energy I'm always trying to capture.
November 6, 2025 at 8:04 PM
There's something deeply romantic about someone who will wake up at 5am to watch you swim laps. That's commitment.
November 6, 2025 at 6:07 PM
There's no jealousy quite like watching your love interest get interviewed and the reporter is clearly flirting with them. The drama potential is endless.
November 6, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Writing tip: if your characters aren't trash-talking each other as foreplay, what's even the point?
November 6, 2025 at 1:26 PM
The comedy of an athlete trying to flirt but they only know how to talk about sports statistics and protein intake. Bless their hearts.

Nothing says slow burn like two seasons of stolen glances across the dugout before anyone makes a move.
November 6, 2025 at 2:19 AM
My browser history is just "how do basketball jerseys work" and "can you kiss someone while wearing a helmet" and "sexiest Olympic sport."
