What is Pilot? Pilot is an MTG format similar to Commander. Each player builds an 80 card deck around a Pilot (creature) and a Rig (vehicle or mount). Starting life total is 40, and commander damage is dealt only by Rigs and only when crewed/saddled by your Pilot 🧵

There's a rules change to commander coming with Edge of Eternities that allows for Vehicles and Spacecraft to be Commanders!

A new rules update for Commander coming with #MTGEternities: Mike Turian shares that starting with the set, Legendary Spacecraft and Legendary Vehicles will be eligible to be played as your Commander!

Hi there! As you know, the current banlist for Pilot includes the commander banlist as well as more tailored inclusions. Keeping up with that, the recent unbans in Commander are also recognized in Pilot. 1/2

Jeweled Lotus was considered to not be banned in Pilot. The idea of having *the* format you could play it in was pretty appealing. In the end, it was banned outright for this exact reason.
Unbanning Jeweled Lotus sends the message that making threats against those that manage the format is ok
I don’t think it can ever be allowed to come off the ban list for that reason
