"Poverty aspirations" assume that aspirations in poor countries should align with an economic system or infrastructure. But is the desire to be healthy, live in peace, make progress or live with dignity not aspirational enough??

Port-au-Prince is collapsing; it has been slowly crumbling by death squads, incompetence and indifference.

Awaiting for the worse.
Dreams are disintegrating, a void filled by apathy, rage and paranoia.

I hate this feeling of powerlessness that’s why I don’t talk.
