“Sometimes, when the world feels too loud, I cocoon myself in headphones and a sleep mask. In the darkness, I imagine I’m with the mother creatrix of all life, hearing the story of how my soul came to be. I lie in stillness and let that peace settle into my nervous system for a while." -Staff Member

What’s the weirdest or most unexpected thing you’ve done for your wellness?

One of our staff shared:

“I use movement and sound to process emotions.
I practice somatic dancing and sometimes vocalize to release anger in a healthy way.
It’s part of how I care for my mental and emotional wellness.”

Sarah shares what supports her while facing challenges:
"Get outside! Taking a walk, digging in the garden, and rock hounding always give me a boost. Supporting others – being present for someone else who may be struggling gets me out of my head quickly."
