A friend of mine lost someone close to him recently, and it has me thinking about portrayal of grief. It's never as simple as some media tries to make it. It's tangled and confused, somber sometimes but sharp and bright others. It's easier to portray when you're not experiencing it directly.

Apparently one of the local library systems is being forced by the snotbuckets in TN govt to shut down, inventory books, and remove or recategorize "offensive" material.

I am TRYING to channel my anger into productive pathways.
