Kaminari Medical develops an advanced intravascular imaging system that combines ultrasound and photoacoustic technologies to visualize vessel structure and assess tissue composition. Our aim is to support early diagnosis and guidance of cardiovascular interventions.

European collaboration in action: Qurin and MEEP performed a proof-of-principle study using Qurin’s the easy-to-use DNA extraction tech for large (urine) samples, further improving home Chlamydia STD testing.

Follow-up testing is already planned.

Maastricht University participates via the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine of MUMC+ an the IDEE-Research Engineering team. UM’s role is the integration of photonic components in an ultrathin patch for the early detection of pressure induced injuries including its validation in humans.
