Melbourne based camera nerd recently rediscovering the joy of shooting flim.
Abandoned gas station in Victoria, Australia. Loved the play of light on a wonderful example of the world having moved on. Nikon F2, Ilford HP5 400 (pushed 2 stops)

Welcome to hell. There is a special place reserved in the 9 circles for the person who thought open plan was the model of choice for work. #photography #gr3x

Watching Iceland photography tours on a crowded train to my corporate open plan hellscape job is somewhat jarring. Hopefully the one facilitates the other at some point.

A 6am alarm clock on a Sunday is never a welcome addition to my morning ... except when I get back home and have a look through my photos. Early beach walk today. #photography #melbourne XT5 ISO200 f10 1/60

It wasn't exactly the right ASA film to be using this early but this early sunrise turned out perfectly. It was such a peaceful and incredible time to be out taking photos. Nikon F2 on Fujifilm C200. #photography #melbourne

Not sure how this will turn out on Bluesky but another from this morning's outing. #photography #landscape

Was out early this morning doing some location scouting. Was mostly shooting on my F2 but had my GriiiX in my pocket. Nice to have something to come home to until the film comes back. Loved the way the light came in through the side of this abandoned barn. #photography #melbourne

It was that sort of Melbourne day that really made me question my choice of a daily driver without weather sealing. Today it was out and about with the wonderful GRiiix #photography

Photography: Experience + practice + location + LUCK. The lighting on this particular morning lasted all of 10 minutes before the clouds closed in and turned everything a drab grey. Nice location to revisit. #photography #melbourne

Building on my Harmon Red theme of the world having moved on. I couldn't believe my luck at the wording on the buoy. Perfect Fallout vibes. #photography #35mm #harmanred #melbourne

I think I've found a new theme to shoot - decayed and abandoned things in Harmon Red. While I wait for my actual film to come back here is a tractor left to time and the elements with a Fujifilm redscale simulation. #photography #melbourne #entropy

I was in the city shooting before work and this number 2 jumped out at me made from shadow and light. Nice spiral staircase too. #photography #melbourne

The old comes down and the new goes up. Melbourne's skyline has completely changed in the 20 years we've been here. Interesting pockets of light and texture in the hollowed out shell of this building. #photography #b&w #melbourne

I love Autumn! Nice splash of yellow leaves on a walk this afternoon. I have a custom setting on the OM Systems #OM3 that lets me dial back the greens a bit which lets the Autumn colours pop. #photography

Pomegranite and webs. Moving house so limited time to play however a macro lens always provides ways to look for interesting compositions close by. #photography Fujifilm #xt5 30mm macro 1/250s @ f4

Meh, Adobe jacking up the prices of their photo subscription from $14 to $21 per month. Maybe that's just the shove I need to look at something else. I absolutely hate subscription enshitification.

It's sometimes the strangest photos that resonate with me after the fact. Have just been in Sydney and have many "usual" photos. This ladder dropping into Darling Harbour with the Sydney Tower visible as a reflection is the one that sticks .. go figure. Ricoh #griiix 1/250s @ f4 #photography

I didn't think I've ever been so envious of a tree before. This mighty oak overlooking horse paddocks. My oak bonsai aspires to be this. #om3 #photography
