LONELY ARE THE BRAVE (1962)
This picture just wrecks me in the best way. Kirk Douglas plays a modern cowboy who refuses to bend to a world of fences and highways. The movie feels like the last gasp of the American West colliding head-on with progress. Highly recommended. 🎥

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935)
A masterpiece directed with dazzling flare by James Whale. Boris Karloff gives a moving performance. Funny, scary, tragic and campy all at once. One of my favorite films. Essential viewing. 🎥

NIGHT MONSTER (1942)
Night Monster belongs to Universal’s later period, when the studio leaned more toward mystery than outright horror. Bela Lugosi and Lionel Atwill appear in supporting parts that never give them much to do.

TROUBLE IN PARADISE (1932)
This pre-Code romantic-comedy-confidence-game film directed by the great Ernst Lubitsch and written by the great Samson Raphaelson is one of the best comedies ever made. Starring Kay Francis, Miriam Hopkins and Herbert Marshall. Essential viewing.🎥

In 1961, Mel Blanc, the voice behind Bugs Bunny was nearly killed in a car crash. He slipped into a coma for more than two weeks. Unable to get a response, doctors tried speaking to him as Bugs Bunny. Asked, “Bugs, how are you feeling today?”, Blanc replied in character, “Eh, just fine, Doc.” 🎥

AI tells the Film Freaks this better be one of the best episodes ever…or else. Your very human hosts, Phoef Sutton and Mark Jordan Legan, take you through the fascinating history of artificial intelligence throughout film and TV. Films like ALPHAVILLE (1965).🎥

VICE SQUAD (1953)
Edward G. Robinson and Paullette Goddard star in this noir crime film also known as THE GIRL IN ROOM 13. Good solid fun and the last Noir Alley for a month, since in March we enter the arid waste of 31 Days of Oscar.🎥
