The real-life impacts of Government policy can be rapidly and devastatingly felt by migrants and refugees. The recent change to 'Nationality: good character requirement' caseworker guidance is to face its first (of many, I imagine) judicial review.

Grateful to Scotland’s Equalities Minister @kaukabstewart.bsky.social for calling on the UK Government to change the family visa rules.
A better family migration system would indeed support the well-being of couples and families in Scotland and across the UK.

In the ongoing, frustrating saga of correcting the immigration status on my #eVisa (from Dependant, I'm on the Family route), the Home Office has advised that I not make travel arrangements until this is fixed. Thankfully, I'm not going anywhere for Christmas!
