He won. Arteta has spent over £1.25B and hasn't. I can accept the circumstances that make it easier or more difficult. I'm never going to minimize that fact that he won it.

I can't disagree. But I'm a believer in people getting better through tough periods. Hence, my openness to the idea of keeping him. Moreover, we have seen him win and be successful in this league before (regardless of fortune/circumstances surrounding it), so I find it hard to ignore that.

I'm hoping for a strong end of the season. I think he would've learnt a lot about himself and the PL that will really be valuable for the club moving forward if he continues. So a part of me would love for him to continue next season despite some flaws in his tactics and management style

I'm not going to accept the suggestion that there isn't an alignment on players, when he has repeated ad nauseam that everyone at the club is aligned. I think he's just ineffectively managing the resources at this disposal. That's where he needs to improve.

I can't disagree with that. I've theorized that CL miss this season has been tacitly accepted by not sacking him since we've been in real danger of missing out on CL football next season.

If he makes the top 4 or 5, he'll be here unless something else happens in negotiations over his contract.
