Lafayette Sq. St.Louis… Recent tornadoes tore through St.Louis killing 5 and damaging 5,000 homes. Massive trees were snapped in half. It thankfully spared this historic neighborhood, lovingly restored today, which was devastated in 1896 by a tornado that killed almost 300. #bluskyartshow #tornado

I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

They are currently still “abandoned” and the campus is still beautiful all times of the year. Construction on apartments won’t start for at least a year. I’m hoping to get more interior photos before. The town admin. stopped photography due to “safety concerns.” (But they were used for filming.)

I live nearby and have been in several of the buildings. They are very cool. The chapel (which was featured in Shutter Island and X-Men ew Mutants) is being redeveloped as a center for music and arts. They are calling it Belforge.
The buildings will be preserved and made into apartments.
