In fact, ensuring Jewish safety in the US and everywhere else is the best way to weaken the Israeli state, if that’s what you want. Israel will always exist and “defend” itself as a haven for Jews because we’ve historically been unsafe. More safety here = less need for a promise of safety elsewhere.
