Union Rep, Solidarity Forever.
This year is stressful because we've got a group of new teachers, and some of them are watching to see what I do.

I was happy being ignored for ~5 years...

Scarlet even punches correspondence.

It isn't as flashy, but the latest Spy x Family OP does a great job communicating the show's broader message. Adults bear the burden of building a brighter future, one they did not get growing up.

Loid and Yor will never know this idyllic childhood, so they understand its urgency.

I managed to pull off having friends over without a single large scale disaster.

They were subjected to the movie Argylle because I enjoy watching them suffer, and in revenge for making me see Madame Web last year.

Bernadetta really shouldn't work as a character. A one-note anxious mess whose silly overreactions are an offensive representation of trauma.

That she is the best Fire Emblem character is a baffling miracle. The comedy and tragedy just sorta come together into something magical.

Five Characters in Search of an Exit is my favorite Twilight Zone episode.

"Why should I believe you, you're Hitler!" is the most affectionate criticism of the Twilight Zone. I'll love it forever.

I read a long thread about TTRPGs on here and I gotta say it affirms my dislike of boardgames.

Just let me build a deck in peace.

I've only played a few missions of I Am Your Beast but HELL YEAH, this is my JAM!

I want more Mirror's Edge and Neon White and Ape Out! I want to move and breath and obsess over a tiny way to save .3 seconds.

I'm in the "have I ever enjoyed a videogame in my entire life" phase of trying to find something new to play.

I really don't understand screen shake being a default setting in every game...

Just one more thing to immediately turn off on my way to disabling vibration.

Considering all I do is watch Villainess shows, I should probably watch Wicked at some point.

Skills of Tomorrow vs. Credentialism is as deep as a writer for The Atlantic can go discussing education policy.

Please, please read one book about education history in the United States, I'm begging you.

Funny to play this again and remember the exact moment I turned on Rhea.

One of the reasons my attempted days off have failed is I keep promising my students I'll be there on some specific day, which ends up being every day forever.

I'm glad I don’t teach elementary reading because it seems to be a delicate balance of these two tedious strategies that work while extracting all joy from the child, and yay books :)

Finance podcasts are fascinating because they will have interesting things to say about the logic of markets and how these complicated mechanisms function, then they'll move onto a topic outside their expertise and it'll be, like, "oh yeah! I forgot that these people are ghouls!"

I am a smart enough cookie not to reveal which American directors I think are just okay.

I'm still addicted to the teachers subreddit. Such an interesting mix of burnt out educators and angry parents creating this toxic hell of bad ideas.

I believe in solidarity, but sometimes, it is a good strategy for new teachers to avoid that colleague who stopped enjoying the job a decade ago.
