It’s nearly time to start opening advent calendars… the sweet spot seems to be to have a chocolate one for the morning, followed by a cheese one for the evening!!!

I'd never heard of the "forgotten army" of 150,000 Chinese workers who fought alongside the British in World War 1 so really interesting stuff from Rev Mark Nam who is working to create a memorial to them at Westminster Abbey - Listen here: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Just listening to 6 Music & Lauren Laverne. She introduces a new tune and all goes quiet except the distant sound of street noise… I relax thinking this is v chilled. 5 mins later she reappears to finish introducing the tune. Turns out internet dropped and i was listening to Oxford thru open window!

Cataract out… new lens in! No extra laser installed as hoped, so hey ho. The experience was like the trippy bit at the end of 2001 A Space Odyssey… not awful but did go on a bit… with a sense of relief when it was over.
