VIOLENT STREETS (2025 or 1994?) Brad Sykes, who is best known for low-budget gorefests like CAMP BLOOD, made this film—about two young lovers on the run from a dangerous gang—when he was still a student and it's only being released now. Surprisingly, it's more suspenseful than gory. #365Movies 425

TRAIN DREAMS (2025) I'm a big fan of Clint Bentley's debut, JOCKEY, & this is a great followup. It's a beautiful, melancholic look at the life of one man living through the early 20th century. It's the kind of life that'll be forgotten by history, but that doesn't make it meaningless. #365Movies 424

PETER IBBETSON (1935) The first 3/4ths of this Gary Cooper film are a pretty standard romantic melodrama. But that final act takes you to a really unexpected (and beautiful) place. I bet that David Lynch loved this. #365Movies 423

KEEPER (2025) Tatiana Maslany goes to spend the weekend with her new boyfriend in a remote cabin in the woods in the new film from Osgood Perkins—nothing to worry about here! #365Movies 422

PETER HUJAR'S DAY (2025) I consider this an intersting experiment. It's a recreation of a 1974 interview where a photographer details everything that happened to him the day before in order to give a glimpse into the life of an artist. It's a great time capsule, if a bit mundane. #365Movies 421

HIGH LIFE (2018) Claire Denis takes us beyond the stars but the core of the film is a very grounded story about a single parent struggling in an uncaring world. Robert Pattinson does not disappoint. #365Movies 420

THE PRESIDENT (1919) The president had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a girl and then illegally used the power of his office to protect against the consequences of his own actions. #365Movies 419

DIE MY LOVE (2025) Lynne Ramsay puts you in the mind of a woman (Jennifer Lawrence) struggling with mental health issues. It's a powerful film but it isn't particularly pleasant to experience. However, Ramsay remains a master of mood and image. #365Movies 418

NO SAFE HAVEN (1987) Wings Hauser is a CIA agent hunting a drug cartel—for revenge! His buddy "Popeye" (played by Robert Tessier) was definitely a highlight. This was also co-written by Hauser, an absolute legend. #365Movies 417

BLUE MOON (2025) I think I preferred this over NOUVELLE VAGUE (can't help but compare Linklater films in theaters now) despite being less familiar/interested in the subject. This is almost an Ethan Hawke one-man show and he's playing a very compelling character. #365Movies 416

NOUVELLE VAGUE (2025) Okay, I did the Richard Linklater behind-the-scenes double feature. In this one he (helpfully) puts the name of the people being portrayed onscreen, but it gets a little ridiculous. They show at least a dozen names in a row to start one scene. #365Movies 415

MISTRESS DISPELLER (2025) This documentary follows a woman in China who is hired by wives to get their husbands to breakup with their mistresses. It sounds like it could be a Bravo-style reality show but it's actually an intimate look at a marriage. #365Movies 414

DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING (1972) Small town, big secrets. This murder mystery is also a dark portrait of rural life. #365Movies 413

MURDER-ROCK: DANCING DEATH (1984) Who knew dance auditions were so cutthroat? #365Movies 412

ZOMBIE ASS: TOILET OF THE DEAD (2011) I know that going to the woods to find free-range parasitic worms that you can swallow in order to lose weight sounds like a good idea, but this film highlights some of dangers inherent in doing that. #365Movies 411

UNDEFEATABLE (1993) The Queen of Martial Arts¹, Cynthia Rothrock, avenges her sister by beating the crap out of some very beefy dudes in this absolute banger from Godfrey Ho! #365Movies 410

BUGONIA (2025) I absolutely loved this! Yorgos Lanthimos/Emma Stone is rapidly turning into one of those legendary director/actor collaborations. Add Jesse Plemons into the mix and you've got gold! #365Movies 409

IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT (2025) I understand that Iran has bigger problems, but... tipping culture has gotten completely out of control. #365Movies 408

I KNOW WHO KILLED ME (2007) You know what? This kinda rules. It's also just further evidence that the Razzies are trash. Lindsay Lohan did not deserve multiple Razzies for this performance! Also, the screenwriter shouldn't have been driven out of Hollywood for this. #365Movies 407

WNUF HALLOWEEN SPECIAL (2013) A 1987 live TV special goes off the rails. This is so well done! Very funny... and a bit disturbing. #365Movies 405

RESCUE DAWN (2006) Jeremy Davies has a really intense/off-putting energy in this that made me think he would be perfect to play Charles Manson. Well, I checked and it turns out he *did* two years before this was made. I think he still had a little Charlie left in him... #365Movies 404

I survived the DUSK-TO-DAWN SCARE-A-THON & I made a special point to unzip my jacket (in the cold!) so I could show off my Eraserhood shirt in the photo. But I was disappointed that it didn't really show up, so I enhanced the image for you.
