Mint is wonderful! If you have any interest in tinkering at your own pace, highly recommend it. Linux has come A LONG way since the 2000's, it's a lot of fun and can be as simple as plug 'n play.

If you can get a chance to watch the 60's Japanese show Ultra Q, HIGHLY recommend it. A twitch channel aired it a while back, I fell in love. Weird and full of social/political twists (oft featuring wicked kaiju of course, hah)

YES, a good mechanical board gives great longevity, my lordy (I have 3, they're all still springing!). Plus, highly encourage any low profile board; puts the wrists in a living room of comfort.

Keychron is wonderful! Had mine through 2 novel drafts, the last 3 years of Jason, & Elden Ring (+ DLC, I keeb 'n mouse game). Specifically have the K7. Mouse, ugh. No recs there. Yet find one that doesn't die in 2 years;;; Logitech is VERY bad recently.
