So Trump, who was the president who initially banned TikTok in his first administration--b/c China, China, China--and got the ball rolling, will now come in and save it b/c it helped him in election and CEO sucked up.

And because of memory hole, young voters will think he's a savior.

No matter where you fall on the TikTok ban, the President undoing by “executive order” a law passed by Congress and upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court is an unconstitutional abuse of power.

They’re banning TikTok not because it harvests data, the same way US social media does, but because they can’t influence it’s algorithm with congressional hearings or government contracts the way they do every other tech giant. That’s it.

Mexico and Canada have sent firefighters. Trump, as usual, has sent rhetorical gasoline.
