A handy guide to "apologies":

❌"I apologise if I have caused offence"
❌"I apologise for any offence I may have caused"
❌any apology ending with "it was not my intent to cause offence"
These, and other such weaselly formulations, are not apologies.

✔️"I apologise for my offensive conduct/remarks"
