My VPL for LLM processes is live. Tell me what's good & what's wrong. A tool built for stuff I want to do; it has uses for lots of stuff. If it actually works - that is! Good luck & feedback welcome 🙂

It's been thrilling working with the famous Icelandic Death Metal Band 'Socks of the Damned' on their new music video clip. (messing around with comfyui for scientific visualization and got distracted by more amusing possibilities). :)

Give your tired 😴old AI LLM chatbot 🤖a new lease of life! Copy your old, slow, token-heavy chat into prunejuice.me - compress it, copy into a new chat and that old slow LLM will be up and running with renewed vigour! It’ll even remember what you were talking about!

Got the new David Attenborough movie "Ocean" up and running at Albany's Historic Whaling Station (W.Australia) for World Oceans Day! David Attenborough is a hero, to see him onscreen at 99, his voice, scientific and social message: a great privilege.

Very interesting discussion with Demis Hassibis and Darren Aronofsky. The horse has bolted, as they say, and human creative imagination must lead the way in human-AI dialogic, rather than luddite reaction.

National Archaeology Week kicks off today in Australia! As 2025 is also the 25th anniversary of space archaeology as a discipline, I'm going to post a thread of 11 talks by space archaeologists so you can see what it's all about. 🧪🏺 #SpaceArchaeology

Interesting points in this Luddite polemic on the relationship between Art History, CV & AI. Reminds me of Roger Scruton’s anathema on photography, I wonder if paint-brushes were ever seen as tools of exploitation in the Age of Fingerpainting?

In more time, realtime. Old media (human) needs a provenential system (eg. post-quantum blockchain z-snarky kinda stuff, or keep it analogue & physical) - there will be no way to distinguish between ostensibly human-authorial and machine-dialogical media.

As relevant to surveillance capitalism as ever - especially in the age of AI's, agents, LLMs, vast trawled internet datasets and the emergence of fake humans.

Useful overview of #LRMs (Large Reasoning Models), #test-time #scaling. Seems like #CoT, #MoE & other internal discourse methods, self-reflection, tree search, Monte Carlo etc bring quantifiable benefits - and trade-offs between math/coding/‘creative’ tasks.

OpenAI o1 and o3 are very effective at math, coding, and reasoning tasks. But they are not the only models that can reason.
