The farm slopes to the river and this area is wet in winter.
50 willow will thrive, dry the area to a degree, make wildlife habitat and cut fodder for cattle.
Historic drainage had failed. It would be possible to drain the area, but at a high £ cost. This = a better return.

Restoration beef.
Feeding hay on spots where I cut bracken in summer does two things:
1. Bracken roots run just below and parallel to the surface; hooves crush them
2. Any hay and poo left behind will be broken down into soil by earthworms.
The aim is wood pasture.
