So I’ve played 2 games with Grand Cathay now. Feels like playing Warhammer while holding all the Infinity Stones.

So I’ve played 2 games with Grand Cathay now. Feels like playing Warhammer while holding all the Infinity Stones.
Got Miao Ying painted up this week. So that’s 2000pts painted and ready for my first games with the army this week.

Great game for Old World last night, finally putting a fully painted nomadic waaagh list on the table. Practice for a 1750pt event next weekend.

Just finished my first Cathay lantern. The crew were a joy to paint and it’s kind sad how much they get lost when put inside the basket.
The balloon itself was a slog though. Definitely not doing more than 2.

Had a bit of rolling cold and flu for past week or two but finally got back to some hobby and finished off a unit of jade warriors and a second cannon for my Cathay.
Really happy with how the army is shaping up.

Non-hobby related update. 6 months ago I made a few big health and lifestyle changes. As of today I’ve now lost 45kg (7 stone) in weight.
I still have a long way to go and joint pain is kicking my ass as I try to be more active. But feeling very positive and filled with motivation.

Just finished off the first rank of my first Grand Cathay unit. Really happy with how these have turned out. Will be slow going to finish the army but want to try and maintain this standard.
