The year I've decided SLOTLT takes place in is 1968 - just after the opening of the Little Western and Arlesdale Railway. Additionally, this timeline supports the theory that Duke hasn't been found yet
3) The Little Western being a new line is only supported by SLOTLT - not only was the old branch restored, but it was extended to Harwick. The "new branch line" is Duck's, leaving Knapford without a pilot - enter Phillip in S19.

So I have a theory regarding the timeline of the CGI Series, but it depends on it being its own universe. My theory is that the Brenner seasons take place at the same time as the last Wilbert stories from the books, or S3/4 from the model series
