Every time I walk past club Avalon on my way to the Pantages, I breath a sigh of relief that I’m married and not in my twenties anymore 😮💨 But it’s still a cute building😅
Before there was the El Capitan on Hollywood Boulevard, there was an El Capitan on Vine Street. The top pic shows a variety show there in 1948.
The venue opened in 1927 as the Hollywood Playhouse, changing names over the years, eventually becoming The Palace and now Avalon.

Almost 3 years of nursing school and I just realized, I can treat me own heart burn without medications like PPIs or antacids, with alkaline water (pH 9.5), and it worked for me.
(FYI: Too much alkaline water can make me nauseous because drop in pepsin, which could lead to metabolic alkalosis.)

Nursing school weirdz me out sometimes. For instance, there is an uncomfortable amount of "sunshine" related therapies in evidence-based practice.
Vit-D is the easy one, but also, in Raynaud's Disease, sunshine can help improve circulation and eases symptoms 😦

Had a weekend, now I will do my Annotated Bibliography for evidence based practice. But Wicked 2 was dazzling. Cynthia delivered excellence, and Arianna played hauntingly confused while in grief at an expert level. Good movie ✨🧹✨ Now, back to acute care clinic staffing issues … 😭
