“DOGE efficiency savings”is basically the new “Iraq has WMD’s”. The bewilderment you see is because after a shock and awe campaign of conquer it turns out there are no savings to be had. At least not material enough to destroy the compact of service between a govt and its citizens.

I think #JoeRogan has peaked. That doesn’t mean there’s a decline ahead - indeed he may coast at his level for quite a while. His “support” for Bernie in 16 gets him a pass on the stuff that’s followed. Much like peak Leno/Letteman he is the new vessel of credibility for 1/7

The Democratic Party’s ascendancy was tied to traditional entertainment Hollywood, Music, Basketball. In terms of impact and size these are now dwarfed by games, and streaming. For the first time since Raegan, Dems losing the culture wars.
