I said I would never make another social media yet here I am... I might use this every now and again. Mostly into SMT, Cyberpunk, weeb shit, and gamdev.
My favorite .txt file in a game goes to Starsand Island!

I bought my first car about two weeks ago and it is a smart car. I only needed something with a couple seats so I went small and love it, but the biggest shocker is looking through the dashcam parking mode and seeing how much of a head turner it is lol.

It is odd... I didn't think I really enjoyed the BF6 beta that much but I found the itch to play today and was sad I couldn't... so I went and got secure boot working on CachyOS and reinstalled windows 11 but duel booted this time. Honestly shocked how easy it was

Damn shame BF6 is never going to work on Linux. I reinstalled Windows to give the beta a shot and I enjoy it but I won't bother buying the full game because I just really do not like the OS experience.

???????? BF6 using Godot for portal????

How all the Kickstarted projects I have backed are going lol. I don't feel bad about any of them (well okay I really dislike the stuff with Penny Blood going on) so I don't really see it as a waste... and most do seem to be coming even if ultra slow.

We are moving soon and unless I am mistaken it comes with 1Gbps down and up internet. I have been stuck at 10Mbps upload for as long as I have been alive so I am pumped. Once we are settled and I have the money to spare I am totally making a dedicated server box.

Power went out due to storms, god does not want me playing the persona gacha lol. Thanks 🙏

Back over to CachyOS and I am much more happy for it... keeping the theme simple, but I am happy. Things just work so much nicer for me and I like being able to do what I want without a million roadblocks.

Why is this a thing, why did MSI add this... This actually made me never want to ever buy an MSI product again for as long as I live

I swapped back over to Windows for a bit just to test some programs out and it is so much worse than Linux. I am now going to be one of those annoying guys because what is this bloated garbage.

This shit is wiiiiiiiiidddddde (I love it).

I love how I am trying to make my MC look as cool as I can only for Rune Factory to go "No, 100+ more dmg to use the dumb ladles" 😭. Peak series tbh (and dual blade supremacy).

One small thing I did not expect to be an issue, but the only real problem I have found after switching to Linux... modding tools.
Unoffical modding tools often don't have linux versions nor play well with wine. FModel recently being an issue for me.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has this really neat shader effect for distant terrain / objects that applies a kind of water color look and I think it is so damn smart. It looks fantastic with the stylized visuals while also hiding lower LOD models. I hope more games steal this idea.

Some of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' map in Godot 4 because why not. Probably need to figure out how occlusion culling works

I have always had a game idea in the back of my mind and today I started trying to actually nail down details. Gameplay is simple and easy, but story is hard as hell. How do people write things?

I have gone on a shockingly long journey (like 2 days) to find a music player that did two thing on linux. I just needed it to play a large list of audio tracks (mostly Flac and mp3) in shuffle play, and to look nice. Problem one was simple, but problem two was a pain.

It might not be for everyone but I honestly really dig the default Garuda Mokka look.

Hopped distros (just because I liked how it looked and the gui tools, still arch based lol.) and I have to say... I am damn happy.

My first attempt at switching to Linux I had issues and programs that I needed... now everything works almost perfectly. I have zero desire to go back.

This is seriously the best feature ever. One of those things you don't think you would need or is a big deal until you start using it.

Day number whatever of switching to Linux (CachyOS). Today I did the thing I most dreaded. Dealing with VR. Steam has yet to release their streaming solution for Linux so I had to try and both of the major options are a bit jank. I managed to finally get it to (kind of) work after some messing about

It, shockingly, actually went basically perfect. It added some random Asian characters to the drive name and I had to change ownership from root to myself, but now it is btrfs and much nicer to work with.
I am sure nothing could possible go wrong

I love how obvious where AI training comes from lol

Day two of switching the Linux (CachyOS). So far way less issues compared to my last attempt. There was an issue with Cyberpunk ray tracing and frame gen, but it was easy to fix. Also got DLSS updating and preset selection done without DLSSTweaks which is nice.
