Working on what I thought was a code issue, I had forgotten ESP32 basic units only support 2.4GHz!
Why can’t I connect to my other hotspot? Because it’s 5GHz, dummy!
Change the iPhone hotspot config to “Maximize Compatibility” (2.4GHz only) and magic happens!
